Loan Officer

The Better Choice Lenders is looking for a Bi-Lingual, Highly Motivated, Self Starting Loan Officer to join our outstanding team.

We offer multiple types of Business Funding such as The Employee Retention Credit Program, Commercial Real Estate, Working Capital, Hard Money Loans, Fix and Flip Loans, SBA 7(a) lending, and much more.

The ideal candidate will be a go-getter and proactive in their ability to source opportunities using their established contacts, clients, & network. Our company also has established contacts, clients, leads, and business development in place to ensure that the team member coming on board will be set up for success should they not have a pre-existing pipeline. Candidates should have a resilient commitment to growing their pipeline for their own personal success and the success of the company.

Candidate should be able to provide small business owners with accurate and comprehensible information on the loan process and be able to have strong communication skills via phone and email.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Contacting referrals (prospects and/or applicants) within set timeframes.
  • Advising customers of application status and action necessary to achieve the desired objective.
  • Interacting with customers via telephone, email, or in person in a professional manner, on an as-needed basis.
  • Provide outstanding professional customer service and create strong client relationships.
  • Updating of Referral System with pertinent customer information.
  • Assembling all documents essential to loan processing and closing of loans.
  • Other duties as needed and assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:


  • Basic computer and phone skills are required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products, i.e. Word, Excel, etc.
  • Excellent attention to detail, follow up, and problem solving.
  • Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Self-motivating and great team work attitude.
  • Ability to quickly learn about company products or services.
  • Some commercial or residential lending support experience preferred.
  • Ability to multi task and work with several applications simultaneously.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and plan accordingly.
